While the best thing that we have so far is a teaser in lieu of an official announcement, it looks like the Cherry Mobile Blade (or Razor Blade) is already official in Thailand.

A phone unveiled in that country last month, complete with specs including the specified 7.7-mm thickness—the sole detail hinted in the teaser—as well as a pic with the word “Razor” on it, is most likely the same phone that soon will be introduced in the Philippines.

The complete specs can be found in the Thai source website, Siamphone.com, but we have taken the liberty to list the most important ones below. You may also notice that some specs aren’t found in the aforementioned website, such as battery capacity, but are actually retrieved from other sources.

What it all the local brands sporting smartphones with similar specs, the Cherry Mobile Razor Blade seemingly fails to set itself apart from the Android crowd. Its razor thin body, on the other hand, certainly can grab the attention of interested buyers.

Nevertheless, the specs are overall up to standard. In fact, when you compare Blade to the recently announced Cherry Mobile Thunder 2.0, the former actually fares better because of sporting double the system memory (at 1GB), slimmer dimensions, better screen resolution, and more.

No pricing information has yet been revealed by Cherry Mobile Philippines, but the Blade is reported to be already sold in Thailand for around THB6,999 (or around PHP9,832 in today’s exchange rate). We’ll update this post with more information as soon as we receive more reports or official word from Cherry Mobile itself.

  2. An update based on the review of unbox, hindi sensitive ang touch screen ng Razor Blade kaya kwidaw kayo at mahirap pinditin and keyboard niya. May this serve as a warning to future buyers better be aware than sorry.
