Gionee Marathon M3 with massive 5,000mAh battery now official

Gionee has announced a new smartphone called as the Marathon M3 with an enormous 5,000mAh battery pack.

The Gionee Marathon M3 also entails a certain thickness, as expected on something with this amount of capacity. This is not a surprise as we’ve been seeing for years and super slim smartphones generally have smaller batteries, like the Gionee S5.5. Surprisingly, the M3 isn’t as big as we expected it to be measuring only 144.5 x 71.4 x 10.4mm and weighing just about 180g.

There’s some power under the hood as well. MediaTek’s MT6582 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz each is running the show paired with 1GB of RAM. In terms of screen, it has respectable 5-inch HD IPS display for optimum performance.
