We’ve been seeing a number of hybrid Android tablets that could dock into keyboard accessories and transform into productivity tablets, so it was only a matter of time until a major manufacturer started seriously making Android laptops. Well, that manufacturer is HP and while they’re far from the first one to start making Android laptops, they are possibly one of the most prominent. And the HP SlateBook certainly isn’t a slouch.

The SlateBook is getting an Nvidia Tegra 4 processor with 2GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and the screen will be a 14 incher with Full HD resolution. The actual battery capacity hasn’t been revealed yet but it’s officially rated to last for 9 hours of use.

The SlateBook is slated for an August rollout with a $399 price tag, which is about Php17.5k after straight conversion. Hopefully, the price won’t go up too much after import dues, but that’s assuming it will actually launch here though.
