Micromax Canvas Turbo Pristine White

Back when the Micromax Canvas 4 was still being teased, the Indian brand’s fans had high expectations, such as a Full HD screen and faster processor. However, Micromax decided to focus on improving the software rather than the hardware, releasing a Canvas 4 that had the same screen and processor as the Micromax A116 HD.

Fast forward to today and it appears that the Indian phone brand has released what the Canvas 4 should have been in the form of the Micromax Canvas Turbo. The Canvas Turbo features a 5 inch Full HD IPS CGS screen, 1.5GHz quad core MediaTek MT6589 SoC, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of non-expandable storage. As for the software department, there’s a ton of new features in addition to what you already get with Android 4.2.1, but at least the UI is barely touched. The 2,000mAh is a bit of a disappointment though.

While Micromax doesn’t exactly have a presence here, they do share a common ODM (official device manufacturer) with MyPhone, which often sources the same OEM devices as Micromax for resale here in the Philippines (ex: Micromax A116 HD = MyPhone A919i Duo, Micromax Canvas 4 = MyPhone Vortex). So even if Micromax doesn’t have a distributor here, MyPhone might end up sourcing the OEM device and end up selling it here. Seems like a pretty good bet, but what do you guys think?

  1. gayahin dapat nila ang mga jiayu… 4″ qhd na naka 2000mah… yung 4.7″ hd 3000mah… malaki ang mga battery pero slim naman ang design

  2. What’s the use of very good specs if it has small batt capacity? It just doesn’t make sense. The only reason makers of these insists on doing it is because there are consumers, who doesn’t use common sense, that buy them. If it sells then make ’em.

  3. Nakow, napakaliit ng battery. Yung Cosmos Z ng utol ko nagcha-charge siya 2x /day, ganito rin ang kahihinatnan nito sigurado.
