The next generation of the Galaxy Note was finally revealed today. The Samsung Galaxy Note II rumors have been around the web tinkering with people’s imagination on how this “phablet” would certainly look like. Now, the wait is over. Samsung officially gave the public the device we’ve all been waiting for. Check out the Galaxy Note 2 details below.

Samsung’s risk on producing a phone and tablet hybrid device did pay off. The term “phablet” was now a common term referring to that kind of handset for over a year now. Just when everybody thought this idea was crap, the smartphone junkies proved them wrong. The original Galaxy Note was a suprise hit and it even sold more than 10 million units to date.

UPDATE: The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 price in the Philippines is Php32,990.

UPDATE: Read the our full review of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 HERE.

Samsung Galaxy Note II runs on a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos 4 processor as compared to the 1.4GHz dual-core of the first Note. It is powered by a 2GB of RAM so this thing could literally fly! Smoothness will not be a problem anymore. A Mali-400MP GPU is also in the ranks and it is coupled with the quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, it is very beneficial to hard-core gamers.

Galaxy Note 2 is a tad bigger than the first generation because of its 5.5-inch screen display. However, it has the same screen resolution of 1280×800 which means that its display is not sharper. There are several built-in storage available; 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. And if that’s not enough, you can expand it further to a maximum capacity of 64GB microSD card.

Suprisingly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will already contain the latest android version (Jelly Bean) straight out of the box. As always, the TouchWiz UI of Samsung will be accompanying the OS. The ever-reliable S Pen, which is the trademark of the Galaxy Note series, is still present and is better than ever.

The specs and look of the Galaxy Note II are really impressive although the design closely resembles the Galaxy S3. Actually, it looks like an enlarged S3.

There is still no details on the price of Samsung Galaxy Note II but it will be out in the next few days (or later). It will be available in the US and Europe by October to be followed by Asia. Hopefully, the Philippines is included in the list. I’ll update this post as soon as I get more information.
