LG-Nexus-4

We just found out that SMART Communications will officially be carrying both Google Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 in the Philippines. The Google Nexus 4, which is a tie-up between Google and LG, was recently launched just the end of October so it’s really a good thing that it will reach our country before the holiday season.

Smart DevNet Head Jim Ayson revealed in an image in Instagram that both the Google Nexus 7 and Nexus 4 will be made available in the Philippines courtesy of SMART. Regarding the price, there were no details about it yet. The announcement was made during Android 4th year anniversary held at PLDT-Smart JUMP Experience Center in SM Megamall.

The Google Nexus 4 is priced at $299 in the US for the 8GB version and $349 for the 16GB version. According to InterAksyon’s sources inside LG Philippines, only the 16GB variant will reach the Philippines which can cost around Php20k. Seriously?

LG sources also said that the devices will be launched sometime this November.

Apparently, SMART also opened up a sign up sheet for people who want to get these Nexus devices. However, it is only open for the community of developers as of now. If you’re one of them, you can go to this link to show your interest.
