An awesome android phone that’s scratch, dust, drop, and water proof comes to the Philippines. Sony Xperia Go, the much anticipated follow-up to Sony Xperia Active takes on the world with its made to resist quality. The “made to resist” slug was initially made by Sony Mobile to create the impression of a durable but capable android phone.  Xperia Go is perfect for people who usually go on travels and adventures so they won’t have to worry about breaking their phone – at least for the above mentioned features.

Sony Xperia Go isn’t the usual the android phone. Through it’s solid build, it can be bumped and tossed around unlike other fragile smartphones. Of course, this doesn’t really mean that it is unbreakable but it has much more potential of surviving a person’s active lifestyle. Either you go out on an adventure or on an unexpected rainy day, you can definitely count on the Sony Xperia Go.

Sony Xperia Go is powered by a 1GHz processor partnered with a Mali-400 GPU and a 512 MB of RAM. It is housed with a 3.5-inch Scratch Resistant screen display combined with Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine. Xperia Go’s default android OS embedded in for now is still Gingerbread but it has a planned upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich. As the Xperia trademark, the Timescape UI will complement its android version. Other specs include a 5MP camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Sadly, it has a mediocre battery capacity of only 1305mAh – a major downside for a supposed to be made to resist android phone. Anyway, it is not the main purpose of the device so that should be fine. Take a look at the official video of Xperia Go from Sony Mobile.

  1. I have this phone, purchased it 26 days ago, and now it’s not working anymore. Two days ago, the phone suddenly “hang” or “freeze”, no amount of pressing or swiping the screen can make it working again.

I am soooo disappointed with this supposedly sturdy phone. My first complain about this phone is the battery life. Contrary to what Sony claims it is, I have to charge the phone practically daily even on light usage.

  2. I have this phone. Its really great. You can now upgrade it to Jellybean which works absolutely great. Fast. Sleek. The only problem I have with this is the battery life. Any suggestions? :)
