Xiaomi isn’t just a smartphone and tablet maker; it manufactures other electronic products as well. This January, it unveiled its mini set-top box, headphones and Bluetooth game controller. And now, it latest announcement is that of a 40-inch smart TV, dubbed the Mi 2 TV.

Like its other products, the Xiaomi Mi 2 TV is all about fitting in all the great specs people love in a smart TV and setting a price tag that’s very affordable—CNY1999 (around Php14,400, but local price may vary if it does market to the Philippines) to be exact. For that amount, prospective buyers get to enjoy a 40-inch Sharp SDP X-gen LED display with Full HD resolution. (The first Mi TV was a 49-inch smart TV with 4K resolution for around $645.) Making it “smart” is a quad-core MStar 6A908 CPU that’s clocked at 1.45GHz and based on Cortex-A9 architecture. There’s also a Mali-450 MP4 GPU, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage onboard. All these mean the Xiaomi Mi 2 TV is not just a boob tube, but also a game arcade and an entertainment hub. Android 4.4 with MIUI comes preinstalled, with Android 5.0 available as a future upgrade.

Other features of the Xiaomi Mi 2 TV include a 5000:1 contrast ratio, wide video support (FLV, MOV, AVI, MKV, MP4, etc.) and hardware decoding (H.265, H.264, MPEG4, REAL, etc.). This smart TV also sports Dolby MS12 virtual surround sound.

The Xiaomi Mi TV 2 will start selling on March 31.
