MSI-Backpack-PC-NG

MSi has a new concept product and it’s going to blow your mind.

Yep, you read that right. It’s a computer in the form of a backpack. Virtual Reality gaming has been progressing over the past few months and headsets like Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR, and HTC Vive are just some of the products that can take it to the next level.

But for the consumers to use them properly, they’re going to need a gaming rig that supports the VR headsets. Users can’t bring it around anywhere they like, and they’re limited to their game station, restrained by all the cables. Unless consumers have a really expensive gaming laptop, they can’t probably use it anywhere else.

MSI wants to change that. The company will reveal a number of PCs in Computex next week and the Backpack PC will debut on the show.

The MSI Backpack PC features a powerful Intel Core i7 and a GeForce GTX 980 graphics card. Not much is known as of the moment but we expect them to be unveiled by next week.

There’s also no word about the price so we’ll pass judgement until it’s revealed. We’re not expecting it to be affordable, though.
