The Alcatel OneTouch POP S3 has been officially launched in the Philippines. It’s a 4-inch smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity for Php6,999.

Like with the Starmobile Vida predicament, users should be aware that the Alcatel OneTouch POP S3 is pretty much about its speedy mobile data connectivity. Everything else is pretty much, well… meh. What we have here is a 4-inch Android 4.3 (not the latest KitKat version) smartphone with a TFT (not IPS) LCD display. There’s an unnamed quad-core CPU inside, along with a sufficient 1GB of RAM but an inadequate 4GB internal storage.

Besides 4G LTE, the Alcatel OneTouch POP S3 does come with other few interesting features, though. For one, there’s the one finger zoom. For another, the optional BoomBand fitness accessory (Php2,499) gives users a new way to be notified about calls, alarms, and more.

At Php6,999, the Alcatel OneTouch POP S3 is one of the most affordable smartphones (from an international brand) now available in the Philippines. It comes in several flavors, just like the newer POP 2 family of smartphones.
