Have you heard? The rugged Blackview BV5000 smartphone has finally arrived in the Philippines.

Announced last October, the Blackview BV5000 offers resistance to water, dust, scratching and physical impact. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop, this 5-inch handset offers battery optimization software, gesture function for common navigation operations, and seamless data transfer from/to another smartphone via its HotKnot technology. Dual SIM capable, the BV5000 has running under its hood the MediaTek MT6735 chipset, which comes with a 64-bit quad-core processor with energy efficiency, 4G LTE connectivity and Mali graphics. There’s 16GB of RAM and 2GB of RAM onboard, with 32GB storage expansion available via the microSD card slot.

The Blackview BV5000 takes its name from its battery, which boasts a generous 5000mAh capacity. On a single full charge, the handset promises up to 7 hours of call time and 220 hours on standby. Because it supports USB On-the-Go, the BV5000 can recognize and utilize external USB devices such as mice, flash drives and gamepads. Users whose other smartphones drain battery quickly can also use the BV5000’s reverse charging technology to charge their phones via a USB cable.

If a durable, outdoor smartphone is what you need, the Blackview BV5000 fits the bill and can be yours for Php7,999. It’s now available in Blackview outlets in the country nationwide.
