The Blackview R7 is a high-end, cost-effective smartphone that you should look forward to in April 2016.

Sporting a 5.5-inch 1080-by-1920 Full HD display, the Blackview R7 is an Android 6.0 Marshmallow smartphone powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755), a system-on-a-chip that features eight Cortex-A53 processing cores clocked at 2GHz, Mali-T860 MP2 graphics and 4G LTE connectivity. The all-metal body and borderless 2.5D arc screen contribute to the luxurious feel of the R7.

Those specs are just the tip of the iceberg. The Blackview R7 further offers 16GB onboard storage, 4G of RAM, up to 128GB storage expansion via a card slot, 3500mAh battery and fast charging technology. Its main camera utilizes a Samsung 3M2 sensor with 13-megapixel resolution and 0.3-second fast focus. Its front-facing camera uses an OmniVision OV5648 sensor with 5-megapixel resolution. A fingerprint scanner can be found at the back of the R7.

Blackview has yet to reveal the price of the R7. But if the company’s previous releases, such as the BV5000, BV2000 and Omega Pro, are any indication, expect the R7 to be affordable. More information will become available in February during the Mobile World Congress.
