Cherry Mobile has updated its smartphone pricelist and added a couple of new devices. One of them is the new Cherry Mobile Cheer, a 4-inch quad-core smartphone running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

As a budget phone for Php2,999, the Cherry Mobile Cheer has covered the basics. It has a quad-core mobile CPU (most likely a MediaTek chip) that’s clocked at 1.3GHz, ARM Mali 400 graphics and 4-inch display. There’s also 4GB internal storage that’s expandable via a microSD slot.

The usually connectivity options are also present. Meanwhile, the 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and its front-facing VGA counterpart should suffice for the occasional capturing of photos and videos.

Whether potential buyers can be really cheerful with the Cherry Mobile Cheer or not depends on the remaining undisclosed specs. We’ve yet to learn, for instance, the battery capacity, amount of RAM and software features.

The Cherry Mobile Cheer has a price tag of Php2,999. Other CM devices also have the same price, such as the Alpha Style, ME Fun and Life 2.0. As shown in the picture, the Cheer touts a green apple skin, though there could be more color choices.
