We’ve obtained more information about the Cherry Mobile Omega Lite, and it’s an entry-level Android KitKat smartphone all right.

The Cherry Mobile Omega Lite doesn’t come cheap either. It’s priced at Php4,999. For that amount, the Omega Lite offers a 5-inch touchscreen with FWVGA resolution, Android 4.4 KitKat and 1.2GHz quad-core processor. In addition, the phone has 4GB of internal storage, microSD expansion up to 64GB and 512MB of RAM. There’s a 5-megapixel main camera along with a 2-megapixel front shooter.

Suffice to say, the Cherry Mobile Omega is not good enough for its price. Heck, even the similarly priced MyPhone Rio (released last year) has better specs than this. And if you’re willing to spend an extra Php500, you can have the Rio 2 that blows the Omega Lite out of the water.

Cherry Mobile hasn’t officially announced the Omega Lite. When the company does, we’ll probably discover why this phone is priced as such.
