Its reviews have been universally positive among critics and users alike, but the MyPhone Rio is not a smartphone without shortcomings. On the bright side, MyPhone listens to its customers and has released an over-the-air update to fix a couple of issues.

As announced in a Facebook post, this new OTA update changes the MyPhone Rio‘s build number from v1.11 to v1.15. Perhaps the most notable fix is the ability to install apps to the microSD card, which is quite a boon for a smartphone with only 4GB of internal storage. Previously, users would have to root their devices first. The update also puts the “system update function in the main menu” and removes a number of apps, including PinoyPhone App.

If the update does not download automatically, you can install it manually by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates. Then click Download and Install.
