While I’ve never been a fan of O+ USA’s Air Shuffle feature (No Touch!), their newly announced O+ 360 Series smartphones with 360 Touch Technology is much more interesting and less of a novelty feature.

It might not be as magical as Air Shuffle, 360 Touch Technology — which is really just a touch panel on the back — is said to allow much more one-handed control over a smartphone than if you were to use a smartphone without it.

Of course, we’ve already seen smartphones with touch panels on the back, such as LG’s G2 and G3, not to mention Oppo’s N1. However, this is one of the very few times we’ve seen it at such an affordable price point.

There are two phones under the newly unveiled O+ 360 Series: the O+ 360 and O+ 360 Alpha. The O+ 360 is the larger of the two smartphones, featuring a higher price point at Php6,395 while the O+ 360 Alpha is smaller and more affordable at Php4,995. UPDATED.

Unfortunately, there’s little we know right now about the specs. What we do know is that both handsets run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and come with a few software tweaks to the camera. Beyond that, there’s little else though, so we’ll just have to wait until O+ USA reveals more about these phones.
