The Qube Colonia, a 5.5-inch Android KitKat smartphone with an octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM, now only costs Php4,990.

Along with a 720-by-1280 HD resolution and IPS display, the Qube Colonia features a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 processor and Mali-450 MP4 graphics. It has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Data speeds can reach up to 42.2Mbps thanks to its 3G HSPA+ connectivity.

Dual SIM capable, the Qube Colonia further features the usual connectivity options: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It comes with 16GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that supports up to 64GB card capacity. It measures 156 x 78.4 x 8.2mm and weighs 168g.

In terms of appearance, the Qube Colonia exactly looks the same as the SKK Mobile Platinum Advance and Firefly Mobile Intense X. All three have varying internal hardware though, with the Colonia having the biggest amount of RAM and the lowest battery capacity at 2400mAh (vs the 2700mAh in Intense X and 2800mAh in the Platinum Advance).

Mind you, the Php4,990 is a “member’s price.” The regular price is Php5,289.40, which is still cheaper than the Php8,990 introductory price the Qube Colonia went for in its initial 2014 release. The phone is available in black and white variants.
