SKK Mobile continues to churn out budget-friendly devices. Case in point: the company has released the Skylark and Aura phablets.
The smaller of the two is the SKK Mobile Skylark. It’s an Android 4.4.2 KitKat smartphone that comes packing a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Its screen measures 5 inches diagonally and comes equipped with a 540-by-960 (qHD) resolution and IPS panel. The Skylark further offers a 5-megapixel main camera, 2-megapixel front camera and a 2000mAh battery. The suggested retail price for this handset is Php2,699. If you’re willing to spend Php300 more, you can have the Lynx Lite instead and enjoy double the amount of RAM.
On the other hand, the SKK Mobile Aura sports a 5.5-inch display. The screen resolution remains the same though, so individual pixels are more discernible on this larger display. Most of the specs of the Aura are the same as those of the Skylark, but the latter does come with a larger battery capacity at 2800mAh. Like the Lynx Lite, the price for this phablet is Php2,999.
Both the Aura and Skylark handsets are dual SIM capable and have 3G connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and FM radio.
