The new iPad (or iPad 3) was officially launched in the Philippines by Globe a few days ago together with the announcement of their postpaid plans that will be bundled with the device. Interestingly, the iPad 3 will be offered in a variety of plans including their low 499 plan. However, it is not that easy because you will be obliged to pay a rather hefty cash out to be eligible for the plan.

As always, the plan 499 will be limited and will only have 292 hours of web surfing a month while the other one which is the plan 999 will come in with unlimited data for maximum surfing. Sadly, even though the iPad 3 supports 4G LTE – Globe can only give (or promise) a speed of 7.2Mbps at most.
