Asus Philippines has released two new mid-range laptops: the 14-inch K401 and 15-inch K501. Both are from the K series and offer powerful performance in a thin, light, aluminium-accented design.
The Asus K Series laptops utilize modern hardware to guarantee smooth performance for work, play and general use. The K401 and K501 are both powered by Intel Core (Broadwell generation) processors and NVidia graphics. Windows 8.1 runs out of the box.
Exclusive features include the Asus IceCool technology for proper thermal dissipation (i.e., no palm-rest heating issues), Asus Smart Gesture technology for touchpad commands and Asus SonicMaster for enhanced audio quality. Finally, the Asus Splendid technology delivers accurate color reproduction and stunning visuals for games and movies. These laptops sport a minimalist aluminum design and have solid build quality.

The Asus K501 have similar specs found in the list above with a few exceptions. It comes with 1TB of internal storage and weighs 2kg. In lieu of the aforementioned CPU and GPU, one model of the Asus K501 utilizes a Core i7-5500U processor and NVidia GTX950 GDDR3 4GB graphics instead.
Connectivity options for both Asus K401 and K501 include two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, gigabit Ethernet and a microSD card reader. They can also be fitted with an optional 128GB/256GB solid-state drive.
The Asus K401 and K501 laptops are now available in all resellers nationwide. The K401 costs Php34,995, whereas the i5 and i7 versions of the K501 cost Php37,995 and Php47,995, respectively.
