Need a Microsoft Surface alternative for cheap? O+ USA has you covered with its new O+ Notepad & IntelliPen.

The O+ Notepad is a 2-in-1 device that blends the productivity capabilities of a laptop and the casual, entertaining features of a tablet. Running the latest Windows 10 OS, the O+ Notepad is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom processor, along with Intel HD Graphics. It offers 64GB of onboard flash storage as well as 4GB of RAM.

Unlike the Surface tablet, the O+ Notepad automatically comes with a docking keyboard in every purchase; the dock is not an optional accessory that you have to spend for in addition to the tablet component. Also included in the whole package is the stylus called IntelliPen. In O+ USA’s own words, the stylus lets you do three things: craft, create and compose. Its tip seems to be pressure-sensitive so as to allow detailed artwork and precise strokes for handwriting.

The 7500mAh battery can provide enough juice for the tablet to help it last for some hours before requiring a recharge.

Available in black, the O+ Notebook is now for sale nationwide with an official price of Php16,995. Are the features worth such a price tag? Is the tablet a boon to composers, artists and writers—or is it a bust? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. Bumili ako nito last January sa akalang magandang tablet for graphic artists. Masyadong limitado for artists like me, pen pressure gumagana lang sa mga ilang apps lang tapos yung palm rejection panget, wala man lang pen hover kaya inaccurate. Parang gimick lang yung pen. Good for note taking, yes. hardcore art, no.

    1. Thanks for saying this. It sounds like it’s this device’s “too good to be true” feature.

  2. great for productivity on the go as of this writing wala pa sa O Plus concept store in Laguna, kailang kaya magiging available?
