Xiaomi has a new entry-level POCO phone, and it’s been immediately made available in the Philippines. Meet the new POCO C85.
The POCO C85 offers a sleek and fresh design that’s available in Green, Purple, and Black colorways. It has curves on four corners and a slim body that’s only 7.99mm thick.
It may not be the thinnest phone around, but you’d be surprised to know that this sleek device managed to carry a large 6,000mAh battery. All thanks to the silicon-carbon technology that the majority of new phones have now.
According to Xiaomi, the battery can last up to 22 hours of video playback, 82 hours of music playback, or approximately 2.14 hours of daily use, based on their testing.
This large battery has been aptly paired with 33W wired fast charging, which can provide a 50% charge in about 31 minutes. Reverse wired charging is also supported, so you can use it like a power bank on other devices and accessories.
Moving on, the C85 has a large 6.9-inch IPS display with a high 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, but only an HD+ resolution. It has TUV Rheinland certifications for eye safety and has Xiaomi’s Wet Touch display 2.0, so you can still use the screen in the rain.
Powering the device is a 4G-only MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra processor, with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. It ships with Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0.
For the cameras, we have an 8-megapixel front shooter and a 50-megapixel on the back with an f/1.8 aperture.
The POCO C85 is available in the Philippines only through Shopee. From August 30 to September 11, you can get the 6GB/128GB model for only Php4,899 while the 8GB/256GB is discounted to Php5,799. They have an SRP of Php5,499 and Php6,499, respectively.
