Rovio, the developer behind the popular Angry Birds franchise, has begun a soft launch for a new mobile game titled Angry Birds Rush.

This new installment mixes the classic slingshot action that made the series famous with endless runner-style gameplay, where the players will bounce their way through various levels. The game also introduces a social feature inspired by titles like Coin Master. It allows users to raid the camps of other players by launching birds at them to cause mischief.

According to its App Store description, Angry Birds Rush is currently in an “Early Access” phase. Rovio states that the team is “busy hatching new ideas” and building out the game’s world. The description also notes that all changes during this period are part of an effort to make this “the best game we’ve ever launched.”

This is the first major use of the Angry Birds brand since Angry Birds Bounce was released on Apple Arcade in July 2025. Rovio is now a subsidiary of Sega, which acquired the company last year.

There is no official word yet on when Angry Birds Rush will see a full global release, but game is now available for early access on the App Store in the United States.
