Xiaomi’s iPad Mini competitor is now in the Philippines. Meet the Xiaomi Pad Mini.
The Xiaomi Pad Mini is a compact tablet you can easily fit in your hand. It has a small 8.8-inch display but with a sharp 3K resolution, and a high refresh rate that can reach up to 165Hz.
It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor, the same one found on the Xiaomi 15T Pro. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
For better thermals, the Pad Mini has a centralized thermal cooling architecture that Xiaomi claims offers 75% faster heat equalization speed and drops the grip temperature by -4℃.
The chipset is sandwiched between the two battery modules, with a total capacity of 7500mAh. Xiaomi claims it can last for up to 15.5 hours of video playback, 19.28 hours of reading, and 9.67 hours of playing MOBA.
It is paired with a 67W HyperCharge support and provides a 0-58% charge in just half an hour. 18W reverse wired charging is also here.
A big feature is the dual USB-C ports, allowing you to continue charging with other accessories, peripherals, and storage drives plugged in.
You can get the Pad Mini with a Xiaomi Focus Pen stylus or Xiaomi Pad Mini cover with a strap. It still ships with Android 15-based HyperOS 2, but should receive the Android 16 update soon.
