The latest Xiaomi 17 flagship goes official with a compact design, large battery, powerful Qualcomm chip, fast wireless charging, and more.
While everyone’s attention is on the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max and their secondary displays, there are still reasons to watch out for the Xiaomi 17.
For starters, it uses the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It ships with the latest Android 16-based HyperOS 3.
It also has a large 7,000mAh battery — bigger than what the Xiaomi 17 Pro has. It comes with the same 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 22.5W reverse wireless charging.
The display uses a compact 6.3-inch M10 LTPO OLED panel with 3,500-nit peak brightness and Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass.
There’s a 50-megapixel Light Hunter 950 main sensor on the back, joined by a 50-megapixel telephoto with 2.6x zoom, a 50-megapixel for the ultra-wide, and another 50-megapixel for selfies.
The Xiaomi 17 has a price of CNY4,499 for the 12GB/256GB, CNY4,799 for the 12GB/512GB, and CNY16GB/512GB for CNY4,999. Release details in the Philippines are yet to be announced.
