Microsoft is increasing the monthly cost of its Xbox PC Game Pass for subscribers in the Philippines. This is the second price hike on the service in just the past two years.
The PC Game Pass subscription price will soon rise from Php175 to Php320 per month. This upcoming increase follows a previous one in 2024, when the price went up from Php119 to Php175, which was a 47% jump at that time.
This move aligns with similar price adjustments Microsoft has made for its gaming subscriptions in other countries. It also comes after the company recently reorganized its Game Pass offerings into new tiers like Essential, Core, and Ultimate around the world.
The PC Game Pass service provides members with a library of more than 100 games. A major selling point is that it includes access to new games from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and Activision Blizzard on the same day they are released globally. The service first became available in the Philippines in April 2022 and has grown a significant number of users since then.
