Alongside their new flagship phones, Xiaomi also introduced the Xiaomi Pad 8 series for the tablet market.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro and the vanilla Xiaomi Pad 8, share a lot of similarities. So many that they even have the same 11.2-inch IPS display, so it’s kinda hard to tell them apart.

That’s a 3.2K panel with a high 144Hz refresh rate, 800-nit brightness, and has a Matte Edition option that uses AG texture coating for 70% less reflections.
Both models also have 9,200mAh batteries and have WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. They even weigh the same at 485g and will ship with the latest Android 16-based HyperOS 3.

Their main difference is the processor. The Pro variant goes for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, while the latter settles for a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Charging is slower for the Pad 8 at 45W, as the Pro enjoys a 67W adapter.
The Pro model also has a sharper 50-megapixel main camera (vs 13-megapixels) and 32-megapixels for selfies (vs 8-megapixels).

Those in China can get the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro with a starting price of CNY2,799 (~Php22,900) for the 8GB/128GB model, while the top-tier variant with a 16GB/512GB configuration retails for CNY3,899 (~Php31,800). All variants can be had in a Matte Edition for a starting price of CNY3,599 (~Php29,400).
