The OPPO A5 5G received an IP65 dust and water resistance rating that protects it from accidental water exposure and is also MIL-STD-810H rated for its Military-Grade Shock Resistance, offering 160% better impact resistance than its predecessor.
It has a big 6,000mAh battery, OPPO says can retain 80% of its battery health after five years. The handset comes with a 45W SUPERVOOC charger, giving you a 30% charge in just 21 minutes or 50% at 37 minutes.
Performance is handled by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor that offers a 10% performance boost over its predecessor. A 6GB RAM covers multitasking, joined by a 128GB UFS 2.2 storage that’s expandable via a microSD card.
We only have an HD+ IPS display, but do have a high 120Hz refresh rate and have ensured protection thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The Glove Touch mode improve touch sensitivity while the Outdoor Mode boosts brightness, volume, and network performance — great for motorcycle riders.
A 50-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel mono sensors are on the back, while the front has the 8-megapixel main shooter. It runs on Android 15-based ColorOS 15. It should receive at least 3 years of software support.
The OPPO A5 5G 6GB/128GB is now listed on Lazada Philippines for Php9,999. It was launched globally with a Green colorway, but only Mist White is available locally. It should hit physical stores very soon.
