Epson Philippines recently visited the Masungi Georeserve in Rizal to take part in a tree care activity along the Legacy Trail.
The Masungi Georeserve is located in the Sierra Madre mountain range. It helps shield Luzon from strong storms and heavy rains. The area also supports wildlife and provides resources to local communities.
Instead of just planting new trees, the conservation work at Masungi focuses on looking after trees that are already there. This includes regular checks and maintenance to help them grow strong and support the forest over time.

During the visit, Epson employees worked with Masungi park rangers. They learned how to care for trees properly and helped with tasks along the trail. The Legacy Trail is meant to teach visitors that taking care of nature is an ongoing job.
Masako Kusama, who leads Epson Philippines as president and director, said the activity fits with the company’s goals for the environment.

The Legacy Trail was built to remind guests that they can continue to help protect nature once they go home.
Those who joined the activity received special caps from New Era Cap Philippines. The caps are made from REPREVE fiber, which comes from recycled plastic bottles. Organizers said the caps stand for smart production and a push for greener choices.
Epson said its participation in the Masungi Georeserve is part of a bigger effort to back environmental projects in the Philippines.
