DJI has introduced a new pricing option for its flagship cinema drone, aiming to put professional aerial filmmaking within reach for more content creators. The company announced the DJI Inspire 3 Basic Package today, a streamlined version of its popular 8K drone system designed for cinematographers who want to expand their existing setup or professionals just getting started in high-end aerial work.

Since its release in 2023, the DJI Inspire 3 has earned a strong reputation among film and television crews worldwide. The drone pairs with the Zenmuse X9-8K Air Gimbal Camera to deliver cinema-quality footage with over 14 stops of dynamic range. It features dual native ISO for better low-light performance and relies on DJI’s O3 Pro transmission system for reliable video feeds over long distances. The camera system also includes DJI’s color science technology, which helps maintain natural-looking colors whether shooting in rural settings or city environments, while accurately reproducing skin tones under various lighting conditions.

The Zenmuse X9-8K Air Gimbal Camera offers impressive recording capabilities for professional workflows. It supports CinemaDNG and Apple ProRes RAW formats, giving editors greater control when color grading footage. Users can capture video in 8K resolution at 25 frames per second or step down to 6K at 50 frames per second, providing flexibility for different production needs. The higher resolution also allows filmmakers to crop or adjust their shots in post without sacrificing image quality. The three-axis gimbal keeps footage steady during fast moves or when flying in windy conditions.

On the flight performance side, the Inspire 3 aircraft comes with specifications built for professional sets. It can climb at 10 meters per second and descend at 8 meters per second, helping operators reposition quickly between takes. Safety features include sensors that detect obstacles from above and below, along with full surround obstacle avoidance to prevent crashes in tight spaces. The package includes four TB51 Intelligent Batteries, which provide enough power for extended shooting sessions without frequent interruptions for recharging.

Missing from this kit is the RC Plus remote controller, which must be bought separately by those who do not already own one.

The DJI Inspire 3 Basic Package is available through authorized DJI dealers nationwide and the company’s online store. It carries a price tag of Php615,049.
