Grab held its annual GrabX 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia and showcased 13 new products across three categories: for local life, travel, and business.
The GrabX 2026 started with a showcase of its first AI robot. The goal is not to replace delivery riders, but to assist them for faster delivery.

This robot can navigate inside malls, so the customer’s order is already at the door for the rider to pick up instantly.

Tons of new features are available for commercial within the For Local Life category.
One of them is the Group Ride. It lets you add about two other users in a single ride booking, and let AI intelligently sequence the entire trip for efficiency based on pick up and drop off location per user.
At the end, the system will charge the appropriate amount per user based on their respective distance.

There’s also Grab More, allowing users to finally order from two nearby merchants under a single booking and delivery fee.

Grab AI Assistant will also be added to the Grab app. It can recommend restaurants based on your specifications and more.
Under this is the Grab Shopping Agent, allowing you to simply take a picture of your shopping list or dictate it by voice, instead of searching for each item one by one.

GrabMaps for Consumers was also announced, giving you suggestions on when to leave, routes to take, and the ETA.
It also has a Journey Planner that integrates with your calendar to gain predictions on your destination based on your Grab trip history.
The feature also gives you comparisons for a Grab ride vs driving on your own, shows EV charging locations, public transportation schedules, custom voices, and even indoor navigation.

Finally, Grab now also has a Cash Loan feature. It will use first-party Grab usage data and AI underwritint to check if users are eligible.
Users can also customize payment terms based on their budget. Grab also promises users can receive the decision within seconds.
All these features are now available in many SEA countries, including the Philippines.
