To compete with Apple’s AI branding, Google has announced Gemini Intelligence.
Google’s Gemini Intelligence will be available across different Android devices this year, which include smartphones, cars, glasses, and even laptops like the newly announced Googlebook.
So, why should you care? Well, Google Intelligence can help automate tasks. It takes visual cues and context to automatically do tasks. For example, you can take a picture of a long shopping list and let Gemini build a shopping cart for you.
It also makes web browsing faster, allowing you to research, summarize, and compare content across the web more easily. There’s also the new Chrome auto browse that automates things like booking an appointment, getting movie tickets, or reserving a parking spot.
Gemini also has a Personal Intelligence feature that can automatically fill personal details in forms for you. Speech-to-text in Gboard was also improved with a feature called Rambler, so you can speak naturally even with tons of “ums”, “ahs”, and “likes”.
The new Gemini Intelligence can also build custom widgets based on what you describe using natural language.
More details about Gemini Intelligence will be revealed soon.
