Sony has unveiled the latest flagship phone, the Xperia 1 VIII.
The Sony Xperia 1 VIII has a large 48-megapixel sensor with a 70mm focal length and f/2.8 aperture. It is joined by a 48-megapixel 1/1.35-inch main camera with optical image stabilization, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 12-megapixel for selfies.

Like many flagships, it ships with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, with up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.
The Qualcomm AI accelerator helps Sony’s AI Camera Assistant, which analyzes the subjects for better colors, lens effects, and more.

Keeping the lights on is the same 5,000mAh battery as before, paired with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging.
It is also possibly the only flagship phone to have a 3.5mm headphone jack, complete with lossless and latency-free support. It also has symmetrical stereo speakers. It ships with Android 16 and will get 5 Android upgrades.

The Sony Xperia 1 VIII is now available for pre-order in select markets. It starts at EUR1,499 (~Php108,000) for the 12GB/256GB and comes with a free pair of Sony WH-1000XM6.
