Samsung just dropped a fresh batch of smart TVs and sound gear in the Philippines. The company unveiled models like the Micro RGB Vision AI TV, Neo QLED Vision AI TV, OLED Vision AI TV, and Mini LED Vision AI TV.
The fanciest one is the Micro RGB model. It uses tiny red, green, and blue backlights to make colors pop, boost brightness, and sharpen contrast while keeping colors from spilling into each other. Gamers will like its 165Hz refresh rate and the fact that it cuts down glare.
What makes these TVs different are the smart features. There is something called Vision AI Companion. Say you are watching a game or a movie. You can just ask out loud for player stats or cast details, and the TV will answer. Another mode, AI Football Mode, tweaks both the picture and sound automatically when you switch to sports.
Chris Almazan, who runs the audio and visual business for Samsung in the country, said the goal was to let people have a real back and forth with their TV while watching shows.
The OLED version works a little differently. It uses self lighting pixels, which means blacks look deeper and bright spots really shine. A processor called the NQ4 AI Gen3 handles all the heavy lifting to adjust the image on the fly.
For gamers who use a monitor instead of a TV, Samsung also showed the Odyssey OLED G7. It can hit 330Hz if you are playing at full HD resolution, or 160Hz if you bump it up to 4K.
All these new screens run on Samsung’s One UI Tizen software. And here is a nice touch. The company promised seven years of operating system updates. That is a long time for a TV. You also get Samsung TV Plus for free, which gives you access to live channels and on demand content without paying extra.
