Razer just dropped a new microphone called the Seiren V3 Pro. It’s the first microphone from the company that supports both USB and XLR connections.
XLR is the connector type you see on professional mics used in radio stations and music studios. But those mics need extra gear, like a mixer or an audio interface, to talk to your computer. USB mics are much easier. You just plug them in, and they work.
With the Razer Seiren V3 Pro, Razer wants to serve both crowds. A beginner can start with the USB cable and get good sound right away. Later, if they want to get serious, they can buy the professional gear and switch over to the XLR port. The mic also has two USB-C ports, so you have options.

The company also packed some smart features inside the mic to help new users. One of the biggest problems for first-time streamers is that a good mic does not always sound good out of the box. You often need to adjust equalization and deal with background noise. Razer says its built-in digital signal processing (DSP) takes care of this. It uses artificial intelligence to remove noise. It also has a compressor, a limiter, and an expander. These tools smooth out your voice automatically, without the need to fiddle with complicated software.
The Razer Seiren V3 Pro mic also comes with a built-in shock absorber and a pop filter. The shock absorber stops thumping sounds when you bump your desk. The pop filter stops those harsh bursts of air from letters like “P” and “B.”

The body of the Seiren V3 Pro has a simple layout. There is a knob to control the gain, or volume level, and a button to mute yourself. The arm mount that comes in the box is adjustable and helps cut down vibrations.
Inside the microphone, there is a 30mm capsule that picks up sound in a cardioid pattern. That means it mostly hears what is directly in front of it. Its frequency range goes from 50Hz to 16kHz. That is not as wide as a studio recording mic, but it is similar to other popular streaming mics on the market, including well-known stage microphones.
You can control the mic using Razer’s Synapse software. This lets you turn on 32-bit float recording, which helps prevent clipping if your voice gets too loud. It also controls the RGB lighting around the mic. The Razer Seiren V3 Pro is priced at $249.99 (~Php15,000).
