Marshall has finally refreshed its popular home speaker lineup. The new Marshall Acton IV and Stanmore IV are now available, replacing models that first came out four years ago.
The Action and Stanmore new speakers keep the retro look that fans love. They have wooden cabinets wrapped in black or cream PU leather. The controls have been improved too, with a better dial for skipping tracks and adjusting volume, plus a new power switch.
The big new feature is the custom button on top. You can program it to do different things. For example, you can set it to start playing your Spotify playlists right away or to switch between different sound settings that you have saved.

Marshall also worked on the sound quality. The company changed the tweeters and the parts that direct the sound outward. This helps the speakers fill a room more evenly. The smaller Acton IV works best in bedrooms or small living spaces. On the other hand, the bigger Stanmore IV is made for larger areas like open-plan rooms. Both speakers deliver stronger bass and clearer audio than the older versions.
You can plug in a record player or other gear using the RCA port. There is also a headphone-style jack on top for connecting phones or tablets with a cable.

If you have multiple Marshall speakers, you can link them together to play the same music. The new speakers support Marshall’s wireless linking system. Older speakers can also join in if you use a separate device called Heddon, which Marshall launched earlier this year. This gadget normally sells for $300, but you can get it free when you buy two new speakers from the Marshall website.
The Marshall Acton IV costs $300 (~Php18,500) while the Marshall Stanmore IV is $400 (~Php24,600).
