TCL has released a new flagship audio system in China, partnering with Danish audio specialist Bang & Olufsen for tuning duties.
The TCL Q95K speaker model is a four-component system. It includes a main soundbar, a wireless subwoofer, and two wireless rear speakers. Together, they create an 11.1.4-channel setup with a peak power rating of 1,420 watts.
The system has 22 speaker drivers spread across 16 channels. The rear speakers handle surround and height effects, which makes the system suitable for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X content. The subwoofer uses two 7-inch drivers placed opposite each other. This design helps cut down on vibration when playing deep bass notes.
For connectivity, the soundbar offers three HDMI 2.1 ports with full 48Gbps speed. It can pass through 4K video at 144Hz and supports gaming features like VRR and ALLM. Wireless options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, and Spotify.
TCL included a room calibration tool in its mobile app. There is also a feature that adjusts the sound based on whether the unit is mounted on a wall or sitting on a table. The bar itself is 6.87cm thick.
The company also introduced two less powerful models. The Q85K offers 7.1.2 channels and 1,180 watts, while the Q75K has the same channel count but drops to 580 watts.
All three went on sale in China. The TCL Q95K sells for CNY6,999 (~Php63,700). The Q85K is priced at CNY5,999 (~Php54,600), and the Q75K costs CNY4,699 (~Php42,000).
