vivo’s new entry-level smartphone comes with a UNISOC processor, an HD+ display, and a single camera on the back. This is the vivo T5e.
The vivo T5e is powered by a UNISOC T7225 processor, with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage. The microSD card slot lets you increase the storage up to 2TB.
For the screen, you get a large 6.74-inch IPS panel, with a high 90Hz refresh rate, but only an HD+ resolution.
The only upside of having an underpowered processor and low-resolution screen, apart from the lower price, is the incredible battery efficiency. vivo claims the 5,500mAh battery can last up to 28 hours of offline video playback, 47 hours of music playback, and 13.5 hours of social media usage.
Another highlight feature is the IP64-rated dust and water resistance, Military-Grade Drop and Shock Resistance, and the Android 16-based OriginOS 6.
For the cameras, you get a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies and an 8-megapixel main shooter on the back.
The vivo T5e is now available in India for INR13,999 (~Php9,000). No word yet if it’s coming to markets like the Philippines.
