Xiaomi just unveiled the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, featuring an incredibly large battery.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max boasts an enormous 10,000mAh battery. It’s a silicon-carbon module, so the device stays relatively thin at 8.65mm, although it’s slightly heavier on paper at 227.5g.
As per Xiaomi, it can last up to 3 days under normal use, or can do up to 40 hours of video playback, 24 hours of navigation, and 21 hours of gaming.
This big battery is paired with an ultra-fast 100W wired charger, giving you 7 hours of video playback in just a 10-minute charge. There’s also fast 27W reverse-wired charging, allowing you to use it like a power bank to share with other devices.
Xiaomi also claims it can retain good battery health after 6 years, which is made possible by the Xiaomi Surge G2 battery management chipset.
The device also has a durable build that’s IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K-rated for dust and water resistance. It is also certified to survive drops from up to 3 metres. Underwater photography mode is also here.
Speaking of photography, the Note 17 Pro Max has a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a sharp 32-megapixel selfie camera.
On the front, there’s a large 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen, with a 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The high 3500-nit peak brightness also helps with outdoor usability.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor, with up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.
It then runs on Android 16-based HyperOS 3, with Xiaomi HyperAI suite for features like AI Writer, AI Speech Recognition, Google Gemini, and more.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, together with other Note 17 series devices, is coming to the Philippines soon.
