Smartphone brands continue to rely on big batteries to make up for their device’s rather underwhelming hardware, and we’re seeing that, too, on the new OnePlus N6 Lite.
The OnePlus N6 Lite is powered by a UNISOC T7250 processor, a chipset that disappointingly lacks 5G connectivity. What’s worse, it is paired with only 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. On the upside, you can expand the RAM by up to 8GB, and there’s a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
In an attempt to divert attention from that chipset, the N6 Lite boasts a large 7,000mAh battery, which OnePlus claims can last for up to 3 days of normal use. OnePlus also says it can last for up to 26.8 hours of watching YouTube Videos, 14.4 hours of video calls, or 8.47 hours of gaming.
The Super Power Saving Mode pushes 1% of battery life to 0.55 hours of phone calls or up to 9.38 hours on standby. It also has reverse charging support, and the battery can apparently retain at least 80% of its battery health even after 6 years. The device itself supports 15W wired charging.
On the front, there’s a 6.75-inch IPS display, with only an HD+ resolution, but a high 120Hz refresh rate. A 5-megapixel selfie camera is on the front, while the rear has a single 13-megapixel main shooter.
The device is also IP64 splash-resistant, MIL-STD-810H certified for being drop-resistant, has AI features like AI Eraser and AI Clear Face, and Google Gemini.
Those in India can now get the OnePlus N6 Lite for INR16,999 (~Php11,100). No confirmation yet if it will arrive in the Philippines.
