Google Photos is rolling out five new features for finding, editing, and sharing pictures.
Gemini Spark, Google’s AI agent, now works with Google Photos. Users can find, edit, and share pictures with a single prompt. It can search by subject, location, date, or event, and create albums. Original photos are never changed. Gemini makes a copy for edits and asks before sharing.
Wardrobe scans your photos from the past four years and catalogs the clothes you were wearing. It sorts items into tops, bottoms, outerwear, shoes, and accessories. You can mix and match pieces and try on new outfits.
Moods gives photos a vintage look with styles like 35mm film and 2000s digicam that adapt to each image. Google is also adding 15 Remix templates that turn everyday pictures into red carpet moments, birthday cards, and photo booth shots.
The Markup tool now has a Redact pen that blurs sensitive information like license plates and addresses. It also has thickness sliders and new fonts.
Most features are free. Gemini Spark needs a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription. Wardrobe is available in the US, India, and Brazil on Android and iOS, but you need over 1,000 photos of yourself to use it. Moods and Markup tools are rolling out globally on Android. Remix templates are available in select countries for users 18 and over.
