Microsoft has released two new productivity hardware. There’s the Surface Laptop 13″, and the one we’ll be focusing on today, the Surface Pro 12″.
The 2026 Microsoft Surface Pro 12 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Plus processor, which has 6 cores and boasts an NPU with 80 TOPS of power. This makes the 2nd-gen model, as per Microsoft, 17% faster in handling Office tasks, has 60% faster graphics, is 95% faster in handling local AI tasks, and is 18% more battery efficient.
It is paired with 16GB/24GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage. Microsoft promises that the built-in battery can last up to 15.5 hours of video playback or up to 11.5 hours of web browsing.
There’s also the large 12-inch PixelSense LCD touchscreen with a 90Hz refresh rate, and it works with the Surface Slim Pen. It works best with the new Ink Canvas from Microsoft, an AI-powered app for drawing, planning, and more.
There’s a built-in kickstand on the back, and it can be had with a magnetic keyboard with a touchpad.
For connectivity, we have WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and two USB-C ports with 45W charging support and DisplayPort 1.4a.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 12″ 2nd Gen is now listed in the United States with a starting price of USD1,150 (~Php71,900).
