HTC was one of the first to enter the VR market with the Vive series. Now, they are entering a new era with the HTC Vive Eagle.

The HTC Vive Eagle is the brand’s take on the Ray-Ban Meta. Far from the bulky Vive VR headsets of the past, the Eagle looks just like your normal eyeglasses, but with a lot of tech, of course.

For starters, it has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera that takes still photos with a 3024 x 4032 resolution and videos at 1512 x 2016 resolution at 30fps. There’s an LED light on the right to let people know you’re recording.

For the interface, the Eagle will feature HTC’s Vive AI voice assistant compatible with both Google Gemini and ChatGPT (beta). It also supports real-time translation for 13 languages and on-device conversion to spoken audio.

For audio, we have open-ear stereo speakers within the temples. The device is also IP54 dust and splash-resistant, and only weighs 49 grams with the ZEISS lenses.

It then has a 235mAh battery that can last for up to 36 hours on standby, 4.5 hours of continuous music listening, and 3 hours for voice calls. The magnetic charger, not in the case, provides a 50% charge in just 10 minutes.
