The HONOR 500 series is out in China, carrying extra-large batteries, upgraded performance, and a very familiar design. Let’s focus on the HONOR 500 Pro first.
There’s no denying that the HONOR 500 Pro, as well as the HONOR 500, looks a lot like the iPhone Air. It has a vertical camera island/plateau, which holds a sharp 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide.
A sharp 50-megapixel selfie camera sits on top of the 6.55-inch LTPO OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a high 6,000-nit peak brightness.
What makes it extra special is the enormous 8,000mAh battery. It uses silicon-carbon, so it stays thin and light. It is paired with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The battery is so large that it supports 25W reverse wired charging.
Powering the HONOR 500 Pro is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
It runs on the latest Android 16-based MagicOS 10.
The HONOR 500 Pro has a price of CNY3,599 (~Php29,800) for the 12GB/256GB, CNY3,899 (~Php32,300) for the 12GB/512GB, CNY4,199 (~Php34,800) for the 16GB/512GB, and CNY4,799 (~Php39,700) for the 16GB/1TB. It should arrive in the Philippines early next year.
