HONOR has introduced a new affordable smartphone running on Android Go OS. Meet the new HONOR Play10.

The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G81 processor. It will be available in two memory and storage options: one with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and another with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For users who need more space, the storage can be expanded using a microSD card, supporting capacities of up to 1TB.

The new HONOR Play10 features a large 6.74-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720. For photography, the device has a 5-megapixel front facing camera housed in a notch and a single 13-megapixel rear camera. Both cameras are capable of recording video in 1080p resolution.

HONOR-Play10-Features-Specs

A sizable 5,000mAh battery provides the power, though it charges at a slow rate of 10W through a basic USB-C port. It also has a basic IP52 rating, meaning it offers limited protection against dust and water splashes. It will come in three color choices: Starry Purple, Ocean Cyan, and Midnight Black.

The HONOR Play10 also includes several features that are becoming less common on new phones, including a 3.5mm headphone jack and an FM radio receiver. However, it does not support contactless payments because it lacks NFC. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1.

HONOR has not yet announced the price for the Play10. But since it’s a very basic smartphone, we expect it to be really affordable.
