HONOR Philippines officially launches its latest durable midrange phone, the HONOR X9d 5G.
Like its predecessors, HONOR extensively highlights the durability features of the HONOR X9d 5G. On paper, the device is said to be “the first smartphone to receive SGS Triple resistant Premium Performance certification.”
It can survive drops from up to 2.5 meters and is resistant to dust, water splashes, rain, and high-pressure water with its IP69K certification. It can also handle high water temperatures of up to 85°C.
You can also expel dust and water from the speakers with a press of a button. Plus, you can still use the display even when your hands or the screen are wet. The screen is glove-friendly, too.
Moving on, another big new feature is the roomy 8,300mAh battery. It uses a silicon-carbon module, so it stays relatively thin and light. It’s been aptly paired with a 66W fast charger, and HONOR claims it can provide up to 6 years of “reliable performance”.
It’s so large you can use it to charge other devices, just like a power bank.
Under the hood, we have a humble Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There’s a 6.79-inch 2.5K AMOLED screen on the front with a whopping 6,000-nit peak brightness, and a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Sadly, we only have a single but sharp 108-megapixel camera on the back. Also, it still ships with Android 15, but hopefully gets updated to the newer version soon.
The HONOR X9d 5G, available in a single 12GB/256GB configuration, has an SRP of Php17,999 in the Philippines.
