HUAWEI has launched the Mate 80 series with four models. This is the vanilla HUAWEI Mate 80.
The HUAWEI Mate 80 has many similarities with the Mate 80 Pro. Both phones have a 6.75-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 1440Hz PWM dimming. They also come with 8,000-nit peak brightness, almost double what most phones have.
They also ship with HarmonyOS 6, tougher second-gen Kunlun Glass, and a 5,750mAh battery.
Due to the price differences, the Mate 80 has a slower 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Pro has 100W and 80W, respectively.
It also has an inferior 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 5.5x zoom, while the Pro uses a 48-megapixel sensor. Both phones have a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor and f/1.4-f/4.0 aperture, and a 40-megapixel ultra-wide.
Both devices have the 2nd-gen Red Maple image processor and run on HarmonyOS 6.
The HUAWEI Mate 80 is available in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/512GB models for a price of CNY4,699 (~Php38,900), CNY5,199 (~Php43,000), and CNY5,499 (~Php45,500), respectively. Release details in the Philippines are yet to be known.
