Yup, HUAWEI now also has a “Pro Max” smartphone. This is the new HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro Max.
The HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro Max has many similarities with the Mate 80 Pro. The main one is the Kirin 9030 Pro processor, 100W wired charging, and 80W wireless.
They both have a display that boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a whopping 8000-nit peak brightness. However, the Pro Max is bigger and fancier as it uses a 6.9-inch dual-layer LTPO OLED panel.
It also has quad rear cameras, while the Pro only has three. It has a 50-megapixel main sensor with an f/1.4-f/4.0 aperture and OIS, 50-megapixel 4x periscope zoom, another 50-megapixel periscope that goes further at 6.2x, and a 40-megapixel ultra-wide with PDAF.
All cameras benefit from HUAWEI’s latest 2nd-gen Red Maple imaging chipset.
The Pro and Pro Max models also have the same 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, but the latter boasts a bigger 6,000mAh battery.
Those in China can now get HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro Max 16GB/512GB with a price of CNY7,999 (~Php66,300) and the 16GB/1TB for CNY8,999 (~Php74,600). International release details are yet to be known.
