HUAWEI has unveiled its latest foldable phone in China, the Mate XT 2 Ultimate Design.
The HUAWEI Mate XT 2 Ultimate Design features an inward-folding hinge design. It has three hinges, with three sections, resulting in a large 10.2-inch LTPO OLED panel with a sharp 3K resolution and a high 90Hz refresh rate.
HUAWEI boasted its new G-shape hinge. Plus, it’s now IP58/IP59 splash-resistant. It also boasts a basalt glass for the cover screen for better drop and scratch resistance.
Speaking of which, it has a 6.5-inch LTPO OLED cover display with a FHD+ resolution, a high 120Hz refresh rate, and 6,500-nit peak brightness.
Under the hood, we have a Kirin 9050 Pro processor with up to 16GB of RAM, and up to a whopping 2TB of storage. A 5,600mAh battery keeps the lights on, paired with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.
For the cameras, we have a 50-megapixel RYYB LOFIC main camera, a 50-megapixel RYYB periscope lens, and a 40-megapixel RYYB ultra-wide, with an 8-megapixel selfie camera for both displays.
The HUAWEI Mate XT 2 Ultimate Design has a starting price of CNY19,999 (~Php186,300) for the 16GB/256GB model, while the top-tier 16GB/2TB variant comes in at CNY29,999 (~Php279,500). HUAWEI is yet to announce its international release details.
