A new thin and light tablet from HUAWEI has been introduced. Meet the new HUAWEI MatePad Air 12.
Like other HUAWEI mobile devices, the chipset used for the HUAWEI MatePad Air 12 wasn’t officially disclosed by the company. The device is a sub-flagship tablet, so take your guesses. What they did confirm is that it will have 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

A large 12-inch IPS display is on the front, with a sharp 2800 x 1840 pixel resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. You can get it with HUAWEI’s PaperMatte coating that greatly reduces reflections and is a great pair with the M-Pencil Pro stylus for a paper-like writing feel.
Keeping the lights on is a beefy 10,100mAh battery with 66W charging.

Connectivity features include the latest WiFi 7. Sadly, no 5G model is available at the moment. An 8-megapixel selfie camera is on the front, while the rear has a 50-megapixel main shooter.
HUAWEI also highlights its ultra-thin build of just 5.9mm, reasonable weight of 555g, and six speakers.

The HUAWEI MatePad Air 12 12GB/256GB has a price of CNY2,999 (~Php23,800) and CNY3,399 (~Php26,900) for the 12GB/512GB. It will be available in China starting August 21. No word yet if it’s coming to the Philippines.
